She walked in with one arm around her brother's shoulder protectively, even though he was glaring holes through her she simply ignored it and glanced around, making a secret promise and sacrifice that she would let nothing harm him, no matter what would happen in the hunger games. Pushed a strand of hair behind her ear before letting loose of her brothers shoulder and standing up straighter.
The tributes from districts seven through twelve slowly filed into the training room. Most of them looked nervous, a few excited, and a few had no emotion showing on their face at all. Leading them, was Alec and Sylvia, from district seven. They both headed straight over to the camoflague and paint station, as they both had no artistic experience in their district. The tributes from districts eight and nine walked over to the archery, and began to learn how to shoot the arrows. None of them were good with the bow and arrow except Robert from district nine. The other tributes were standing around uncertain of where to begin.
Seevy stayed away from the other tributes, seeing many stare her down with hatred and others with curiousity, but she simply ignored it. Most everyone had their own talents, but only one or two at most, so this would be the time to learn how to do the stuff you didnt know how too. Skye Daniels and the boy from her district went straight to the big stuff, as did most other tributes, but she grabbed Stark and marched right over to knot tying, while many people from the first 6 districts were scoping out their compeition.
Willa and Alexis, two girls from different districts, were at the station where you learned to make fires. Willa could strike up a good, decent fire, while Alexis had no luck at all. Not long after they started, Danny, from district eight headed over. He had finished with archery, not doing too bad, and he didn't want to waste too much time on just learning about weapons. He said a hasty hello, and began his fire.
Harrison and Mezomi, from district eleven, were busy in conversation. They were observing rather then learning, finding out which tributes excelled at what and did horribly at another thing. They had already teamed up with each other and Mellisa from district twelve, who was busy with herbs and berries. She would report to them about the poisonous foods and plants while they observed.
Jace Kingston from District Two easily decided to team up with Kade from district four, seeing they both had good talents and would work well together, and they trotted off to anything that had to do with a weapon, seeng some fierce competition.
Paris watched silently as her fellow tribute ditched her and she just took a deep breathe, and went through to the most basic stations, avoiding the ones about killing and throwing, she went to the ones that might help her, but not hurt anyone else.
"Keep focused on the bow, pick it up a little to an angel and hold it back, then just let go." Seevy instructed her brother, now at the bow and arrow station, trying to help her brother so if anything happened to her that Skye wouldnt get to him.
Harrison and Mezomi walked over to Jace and Kade. "Hey, do you guys want to join up with us?" They asked. If Kade and Jace declined, they would definitly target them first in the games.
Jace exchanged a knowing look with Kade, before looking back at the two tributes, before giving them a quick glance over and nodding. "Loved to." They knew they would be stronger with more than just them two, and having strong contributes as partners would help all four of them.
Mezomi smiled slyly. Now that she was a part of the biggest allied group, they would surely control the hunger games this year. Harrison nods to them. "Thanks. You won't regret it."
"Why would we?" Kade replied back, before grinning. "Im not worried about that many people here now, since you two were some of the ones we were worried about. Besides Skye, and Alec, and maybe a few others." Jace nodded in agreement at them, happy he wouldnt have to worry about them now, thats two less people he had to worry about getting killed from.
Mezomi nodded. "Alec seems to be a challange to figure out too. Someone else we might need to watch out for is Robert, from district nine." She nodded her head towards him. "I don't know much about the girl from nine, but she looks like she's hiding her talent.."
Jace nodded his head, "The only other components from one through six is the Law siblings. I dont know much about them, all that I know is that Skye hates the girl and the girl is named Seevy, and apparently she will kill without hesitation if you come near her brother. Other than that, they should be easy. But lets keep an eye on District 9, they might be stowing away their potential of winning." He said a matter of a factly, knowing that they wouldnt have to worry about Skye and Seevy, since they would automatically go after each other and one would die.
Harrison nodded. "Also the guy from district ten. He seems to be dangerous." He glanced around the area, and spotted Lily, who he forgot. "Oh, and Lily. She is equally powerfull."
Kade nodded his head, "We can take him though. Im good with a bow and arrow and lifting things. I know Jace is hand to hand combat, what are your two talents? So when the games start we can grab what each other needs, to have lower risk of one of us getting killed or hurt."
Mezomi smiled. "I'm good with finding food. Animals, plants, berries- anything. I'm also not bad with a knife. Throwing or close-combat." She looked at Harrison to see what he would say. "I'm pretty much good with anything except swimming, which I don't think we'll encounter." He pointed to Mellisa. "She's also allied with us. She is a quick thinker and fast- so she could probably outrun a handfull of the opponents in here."
Kade nodded his head, "Im okay at speed, but much better at distance." He admitted and Jace nodded his head along with him.
"I dont think we need anymore allies, maybe one at most if we wanted, but no more. It would make it to big and it just wouldnt work as well." Jace said. "So we have bow and arrows, hand and hand combat, knife and close combat, a speed thinker, and basically all we need. Were good off."
Jace thought about it, "Not to long. A day at most I would think. They dont want to make the people wait for to long, maybe give us a last good meal before sending us to our dooms."
Kade chuckled and sat down beside Mezomi and Jace, "I can tell you one thing, Im not going down without a fight, and if I have to die, the person who killed me is coming down with me." He grinned, not nervous about the hunger games, "I just wanna know who wins between Skye and Seevy, Im pulling for Seevy on this one, but if they both die, then they better for us." Knew he was faking and didnt want to see Seevy die, but he also didnt want to kill her.
Mezomi shrugs. "I really couldn't care less what happens to them." Harrison nodded his agreement, and soon after Mellisa sauntered over. She smiled at Kade and Jace. "Hello. I'm Mellisa."
"Im Kade." He said and gave a small smile back to her, and Jace interduced himself, nodding at her seriously, since he wasnt to big on smiling unless it was just to funny to resist.
Stayed by her brother at the knife station, giving him techniqies on how to throw one accuratley, since she already knew how to do that. Looked over at the archery station, knowing she should go practice with the bows and arrows since that was her weak spot, and noticed Alec. Looked him up and down before feeling a breeze go by her neck, and she glanced back at Stark, who was glaring at her.
"Were in the hunger games, not a magazine. Dont get distracted Sev." Stark said, shooting another knife past her and felt her eyes narrow a little at him.
"Watch your mouth, Ill throw that knife so far up your tail that youll be knocked into a time after the hunger games." Said amused and walked over to learn more about herbs and plants, taking note on what was edible and what wasnt very closely.
Alec moved over to the plant station. He worked with his partner to find out the poisonous plants and berries, and to seperate them from the non-poisonous ones. Alec glanced at Seevy, but then looked away.
"Hi. Im Seevy Laws, from District One. And this is my brother, Stark." She reached out her hand politley, seeing her brother frown but he soon wiped it away once he realized that she was just being polite, or so he thought.
Alec looked at Seevy, and shook her hand. "I'm Alec Bagens. District seven." He looked at Stark and nodded. "I've never seen a brother and sister in the same games before."
"I replaced a younger girl who wouldnt have lasted an hour out there to insure his safety." Nodded her head softly at him.
Stark raised an eyebrow at her, he was still in awe that she had picked her own death to save him, even though he knew that he wouldnt let anything or anyone touch her with him around, but she didnt know that.
Alec nodded. "That's nice of you. My older sister was drawn at a reaping one year before I was. But she didn't make it out alive.." He looked at the ground for a second, sad, then back up. "But I know she'll want me to survive the games."
Seevy blinked at him, "Im so sorry for your loss... It must have been hard on your parents, having another child go into the reaping. I dont understand the Hunger Games, making friends go against friends."
"Exactly. Theres already that group of the strongest put together," Rolled her eyes. "I dont understand that, putting five or siix big kids together to kill the littler ones."
Alec nodded agreement. "They just are too afraid to be alone, without protection. They're all gonna be at each others throats before you know it.." He muttered.
She nodded her head, "Well, I better head along and go help Stark throw knives again or something. Hope to see you in the games, and dont worry, Ill make sure Stark doesnt come after any District Seven tributes." Smiled genuinely at him before walking off to where Stark was, tying knots tightly out of vines and ropes.
Alec shrugged to himself. He really didn't care what happened to Sylvia, the other tribute from seven. He didn't know her, and he didn't need another emotional tie from his district getting in the way.
Stark raised an eyebrow at his sister, "The more you like him the harder its going to be to kill him or watch him be killed."
"He wont die, not for a while at least, my moneys is on him or you, and I wont kill him, and neither will you Stark." Said in a serious voice and her brother could only nod, as he pulled the ropes together tightly, creating a perfect knot.
Kade chuckled deeply, "What she doesnt know is that she would be better off than her brother, since Skye is out to get both of them, and we can take Alec once we get some of the others out of the way first."
Jace nodded at what Kade said, "Hes right. Skye will handle them, and then we can handle Skye herself."
"Easy peasy. I dont like killing, but when it comes to self defence, ill kill without a look back. Sounds bad, but, me and my friends have always come first, and some Hunger Game wont change it." Jace said, and Kade just nodded his head in agreement at them.
"Same, and we have all we need to stay alive as a group, while they dont." Kade added in.
Harrison shrugged. "I'll kill whoever needs to be killed. But i'm not gonna kill for fun. I say when the games start, we run straight to the pile of weapons and bags, grab some, and run to the forest. We need to keep running." He thought about that for a second, then added: "Maybe we should send the fastest people in our team to the weapon pile, and the others should head to the forest." He looked around for opinions.
Mezomi looked at their group. "I say we send Harrison to grab weapons, Mellisa to grab some random bags and food items, and Kade to cover them." She shrugged. "This is just an idea."
Right when Mezomi was going to reply, a gong sounded. She looked up to see a woman, dressed in an elegant black dress, walk in. "Hello, tributes of the Hunger Games. I am President Haggerty. Please do as you were told earlier, and step onto your designated platforms." Mezomi and Harrison went to their platforms, and Mellisa went to hers. Everyone had the plan fresh in their minds.
Jace and Kade gave a nod to the others before going to their own platforms, watching as everyone either ran, or walked, to their own platforms.
Seevy took a deep breathe and looked at Stark, "When the hunger games start, you run. Ill get the stuff. Just run, get some distance in. Understand?" She didnt give her brother a chance to respond before staring straight ahead.
Mezomi had barely any time to react when the gates dropped, releasing the tributes. She ran into the woods, she could tell Jace was following her. Before she entered the safety of the trees, she spotted Harrison and Mellisa leaving the weapons and bags, arms full, Kade behind them.
Seevy shoved her brother towards the woods, before diving towards the weapons and food, just hoping that Stark did as she told, and hoping Alec would be okay. Grabbed a thing of knives and a small bag that was cloest to her, before shooting back off towards the forest.
Kade watched for any flying knives or bows and arrows, keeping a close eye on all the tributes and his allies, making sure no harm came to them as everyone started to reach the weapons.
Alec had with him a bag full of food, with several arrows, and a bow in his hand. He held a sword in the other as he ran into the forest, following Seevy.
Mezomi kept running, hoping her friends knew to do the same. They had agreed to follow Mezomi, who had great instinct. She veered sharply to the right and ran for a while, until she stopped at a well hidden stream. A source of water. Harrison was right behind her. They sat down to wait on the others.
Seevy looked around for her brother frantically, trying to keep calm before starting to go deeper into the forest hearing movement infront of her. She froze before continuing slowly, seeing Stark sharpening sticks with a rock, glancing up at her. "Your alive."
Kade knocked a bow and arrow out of the way, ignoring the puncture in his hand now, and watched and waited for them to finish, biting back pain at the arrow. 'What kind of arrow is that..' thought to himself but ignored it, keeping his focus trained again.
Alec finally caught up with Seevy and Stark. He looked between them, his arms and back covered with stuff he had grabbed. He felt like Stark wanted to kill him for sure.. "Room for one more, and lots of food..?" He asked.
Mellisa arrived and collapsed by the stream, tired, and panting. "That.. was... harder.. then.. I thought.." She muttered.
